When Wood Lane station on the Hammersmith and City Line opened on 14 October 2008, it became the first completely new London Underground station to be built on an existing Tube line since Elm Park (District Line) opened in 1935. On the afternoon of Monday 27 October, a 1969 Metro-Cammell set departs with an Eastbound service. |
