One of the fastest rail connections between Birmingham and Worcester is the 1650 New Street to Shrub Hill service, which takes 43 minutes to cover the 28.6 mile journey stopping only at Bromsgrove. On Saturday 18 October 2008, Class 170/5 unit no. 170506 appears to be emerging from behind a bush as it works the train near Selly Oak. Surprisingly, this service is not included in the current London Midland timetable! |
