HSTs have been an integral part of the railway scene in South Devon since their introduction in 1976. Sadly today, the distinctive sound of the Paxman Valenta engine can no longer be heard. On Friday 29 August 2008, Class 43 locomotives nos. 43097 'Environment Agency' and 43171 power the 0855 Plymouth to London Paddington express through Rockstone Flats, Dawlish. |
