Lincoln Central station will be closed from 19 July to 1 September 2008 to allow a £55million upgrade of signals and track to take place. During this period, Northern Rail services on the Sheffield to Lincoln line are being terminated at Retford, with passengers for Gainsborough, Saxilby, and Lincoln being transferred forward by bus. On Saturday 2 August, Class 142 unit no. 142016 retaining Arriva Trains Wales livery passes Whisker Hill Junction on the last leg of its journey with the 1217 service from S****horpe to Retford. |
