The former Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Preston to Ormskirk line receives little attention from railway photographers. However, on Thursday 8 May 2008 refurbished Class 153 unit no. 153351 approaches Burscough Junction station with the 1338 Ormskirk to Preston service. The name of the station is a misnomer, as the junction with the Wigan to Southport line closed in 1962. |
