One of the joys of railway photography is getting the chance of recording different eras of railway history together in one photograph. On 15 March 2008, South Eastern Trains Class 375/8 unit no. 375817 built in 2004 passes the 1911-built South Eastern and Chatham Railway signal box and lattice post signals at Canterbury East with the 1522 service from Dover Priory to London Victoria. Almost 100 years separates the two designs! |
