| Power Supplies for the train set |
| Description: |
As the main track is divided into 33 sections with as many as eight trains running some double headed if we used the conventional method of supply through a resistance control then it would not be posiable to supply all the trains as the voltage would drop with the addition of each engine. To over come this I have installed fixed transformers and rectifiers with 240 volt AC to 15 volt DC outputs and now control the AC voltage input with Variac transformers The Red is High speed on the straight track. The Yellow is lower for the slower corner sections and the Blue is the low speed when on Amber signal sections the grey box contains the power for lights signals and control 12Volt
DC points and 5 Volt DC control and LED supplies. The upline and down line controls are standard and are for the station arrival and departure as only one train will be in these sections at a time |
